Second Recycling Truck Donated to Marhanets City

In 2023, artist Lin Shih-Pao personally traveled to Ukraine, visiting several cities to better understand their real needs. What he discovered was a stark contrast: while larger cities received international attention and aid, smaller cities near the Russian border were often overlooked and left with limited resources.

During his visit to Marhanets, the Mayor explained that the city urgently needed heavy-duty recycling trucks to remove heavy metals and debris as part of reconstruction efforts.

Over the following two years, Lin worked tirelessly to raise funds through the Shield Art Foundation. In 2024 and 2025, the foundation successfully donated two specialized recycling trucks, valued at a total of USD $100,000, to Marhanets City.

At the donation ceremony, Mayor Hennadiy Borovyk expressed his gratitude:

“We are deeply thankful to our friends from Taiwan for supporting our city in these difficult times. These trucks will be used to remove heavy metals and waste, which is essential for our reconstruction. Marhanets will always remember this help, because it is not just equipment — it is a symbol of unity and friendship.”

捐贈第二輛回收車給馬哈涅茨市

2023 年，藝術家 林世寶 親自前往烏克蘭，走訪多個城市以了解當地的實際需求。他發現一個明顯的差異：大城市往往能獲得國際的關注與資源，但靠近俄羅斯的小城市卻常被忽視，缺乏重建所需的支持。

在造訪 馬哈涅茨市（Marhanets） 時，市長指出當地迫切需要 重型回收卡車，以處理重金屬與廢棄物，協助完成重建工作。

隨後兩年，林世寶持續透過「盾牌基金會」募款。在 2024 與 2025 年，基金會成功捐贈了 兩輛專業回收車，總價值達 10 萬美元，以實際行動支持馬哈涅茨市的清理與重建。

在交車儀式上，市長 Hennadiy Borovyk 表示：

「我們非常感謝來自台灣的朋友們，在這艱難的時刻支持我們的城市。這些卡車將用於清理重金屬和廢棄物，這對我們的重建工作至關重要。馬哈涅茨市會永遠記得這份幫助，因為這不只是物資，更是團結與友誼的象徵。」
